To raise awareness for the release of The Best of the Colbert Report DVD, Comedy Central was challenged to break through clutter in a broad sea for both political mindshare and a multitude of options in home entertainment. An integrated digital marketing plan encompassing targeted media, select home page takeovers and a pervasive social media strategy leveraged the over-the-top personality of Stephen Colbert. Through integrated planning, 360i was able to garner a large SOV through its online advertising and complemented it with extensive editorial coverage on those sites (and more) via its digital word of mouth efforts. An interactive widget with video clips, a countdown clock and ability to vote for best segments ensured the Colbert message permeated across social media. The results?
